The Salem High girls’ soccer team will host Christiansburg Friday as they look to pick up a River Ridge District win. Salem dropped their last three RRD games in a span of three nights last week. After losing to Cave Spring on Tuesday, April 23, the girls fell to Hidden Valley a night later, 3-2. Salem was leading 2-0 at the half on goals by Laikyn Funk but the Titans answered with three in the second half to pull out the win. Last Friday in Blacksburg the girls fell to a strong Bruins team, 4-0. With that loss Salem fell to 6-7 overall and 4-5 in district play. After Friday’s home game with Christiansburg the girls will be back home next Tuesday to host Patrick Henry.
