The Roanoke College men had five top five performances and the women had three in the Dr. Toms Invitational Track Meet at the University of Lynchburg last weekend.
RC’s Lorenzo Camobreco was the runner-up in the 400m, logging a time of 48.85 seconds. He currently ranks second in the ODAC and fourth in the NCAA South Region. Daniel Graham placed third in the 110m hurdles with a mark of 15.35 seconds, which is slotted second in the conference and seventh regionally. Josh Woodley notched a fifth-place performance in the 3,000m steeplechase, clocking in at 10:31.87.
In the hammer throw, Jim Sarsfield finished third with a distance of 48.35m. That mark currently sits in second place in ODAC and fifth in the South Region. Salem High School grad Evyn Hughes finished seventh in the shot put, launching a toss of 12.36m.
For the women Ophelia Ladner placed third overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:04.78. In the 100m hurdles, Olivia Viers came in fourth with a time of 15.10 seconds, followed by Cammi Winston in sixth at 15.46. That duo ranks third and fourth in the ODAC, while Viers sits in fourth place and Winston is in 10th in the NCAA South Region.
Sarah Fuchs finished fourth in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.45m. She also sits in fourth place in the conference standings and ninth in the region.
The Maroons will travel to High Point, N.C. this weekend for the VertKlasse Meet.
