Busy Day for Middle School Teams Today After Rainouts Monday

The Andrew Lewis and Glenvar Middle School teams will have a full schedule today.

The Lewis baseball and boys’ soccer teams will be home to Hidden Valley while the softball and girls’ soccer teams are at Hidden Valley. Glenvar will take on Ben Franklin Middle with the softball and girls soccer at home and the baseball and boys’ soccer in Rocky Mount.

All teams were scheduled to play Monday but six of the eight were rained out, including all four Lewis teams. Glenvar got both soccer games in and both came up winners against Christiansburg.

The Glenvar boys won 5-0 as Bryson Kuzmich, Zane Smith , Muhammad Neyazi, Kiptyn Jones and Noah Stevens scored goals. The goal keeping tandem of Aiden Driver and Hudson Brendel and the defense combined for teams Glenvar’s sixth shut out of the season.

The girls beat Christiansburg 7-1. Gabby Barba and Ryleigh Dickerson scored two goals each and Emily Rohrback, Kamy Dawyot and Maudie Doolan had one.
