The Glenvar girls ran their winning streak to 11 straight games with a shutout win over Carroll County in Hillsville last Friday. The 8-0 win was Glenvar’s ninth shutout of the season and their sixth in the last seven games.
Camryn Stevens and Annie George had two goals each in the win over the Cougars while Stevens had two assists and George had one. Avery Steger, Adalee Harvey, Brooke Smyth and Lauren Claud had one each while Sawyer Wilson and Davin Tate each contributed two assists.
The Highlanders will try to make it a dozen in a row Friday when they host Alleghany at 5 pm. Next Wednesday, May 21, James River is here for “Senior Night.”
