The Roanoke College men’s lacrosse team has been picked to finish fourth in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference pre-season poll, voted on by the conference coaches.
The University of Lynchburg was selected first, Washington & Lee University second, and Randolph-Macon College third, just one point ahead of the Maroons in the coaches’ poll. This is the first year for new RC coach Grant Zimmerman after longtime coach Bill Pilat retired after the 2025 campaign.
Roanoke College senior midfielder Julian Kammerman was named a pre-season first-team All-American when USA Lacrosse Magazine released its 2026 Preseason All-American list and team top 20 poll. Kammerman won a host of awards at the conclusion of the 2025 season. The Maroons came in at number 20 in the first top 20 poll of the season. Roanoke will open the season this Saturday against the University of Mary Washington at noon in Fredricksburg, VA. The home opener is next Wednesday, February 18, when Averett Univerity comes to Salem for a 5:30 pm game at Kerr Stadium.
