
The rock band Foreigner will return to the Salem Civic Center this fall as part of its 50th anniversary tour celebrating five decades of performances since the group’s first rehearsal in 1976.
The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m. The band last performed in Salem in May 2023, playing a sold-out show featuring many of its best-known songs.
With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, Foreigner has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.
Foreigner is known for enduring rock hits including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Feels Like the First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will,” “Dirty White Boy,” “Long, Long Way From Home” and the No. 1 hit “I Want to Know What Love Is.”
Despite numerous lineup changes over the years, the band’s music continues to reach new audiences, with streaming totals approaching 10 million plays per week.
Tickets start at $49.50, with limited VIP packages available online only. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27. A venue presale will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26.
