The NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country Committee has announced the participants for the 2026 indoor national championships, and Roanoke College sophomore Elias Ammon was selected to compete in the 800m. The championships will take place at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala. this Friday and Saturday.

The Durham, N.C. native qualified in the 800m with an adjusted time of 1:52.00 at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet in Medford, Mass. on Saturday. Ammon’s time is the fastest in the NCAA South Region this season, and he also set a new program indoor record earlier in the year. He will be one of 20 athletes competing in the event at the Division III national meet.

The first round of the men’s 800m is slated for Friday at 5 p.m. CDT, and the finals are set for Saturday at 6 p.m. CDT.
