The Roanoke College men’s lacrosse team was scheduled to wrap up the regular season Wednesday with a home game against Guilford. The Maroons come into the week at 11-4 overall and 7-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference after winning a big game against Randolph-Macon in Ashland last Saturday, 11-7.

The Yellow Jackets scored first Saturday but Tyler Schmelzer and Noah Bell answered to give RC a 2-1 lead and the Maroons never trailed again. They opened a 7-4 lead at the half and outscored Macon 4-3 in the second half to hold on.

Patrick Cullen had three goals to lead the Maroons. Schmelzer and Julian Kammerman had two goals and an assist each to lead the Maroons and Brayden Phillips had two goals. Alex Feuer had 13 saves in the crease.

After Wednesday the Maroons will wait for their seeding in the ODAC tournament, which is scheduled to begin next Monday, April 27. Coming into the week the Maroons were in third place in the ODAC behind 8-0 Lynchburg and 8-1 Washington & Lee in conference play.
