The Salem High girls’ soccer team is 5-5-1 after losing to undefeated Cave Spring Tuesday at Spartan Field, 6-1. Emma Elder scored for the Spartans.
The girls had a non-dis trict win last week, shut ting out visiting Liberty Christian Academy on Spartan Field. Aly Price had two goals for Salem and Rosie Horne had a goal and an assist. Laikeyn Funk and Keeley Prosser also had assists for the Salemites.
The girls were sched uled to play a non-district game at Lord Botetourt Wednesday but results were too late for pub lication. On Friday they have a big district game at Blacksburg, beginning at 7 pm.
