The Glenvar girls played James River in tennis at the Hollins University courts on Monday and took a 7-2 win. The Highlanders are 7-4 overall with the victory.
Singles winners were Rebecca Magruder, Karis Gillespie, Aubrey Board and Priya Patel. Doubles wins came from Magruder and Shawna Garwood, Gillespie and Riley Price along with Rayah Kelley and Laura Peris.
The girls had a match with Carroll County postponed last week and it was scheduled to be made up on Wednesday at the Glenvar courts. On Friday the girls and boys play Radford with the girls at home and the boys at Radford.
Next Monday, May 11, the girls will have their senior night against Patrick County and the boys are at Patrick.
