The Glenvar girls’ softball team fell to 3-14 on the season with a 17-7 loss to James River in Buchanan Tuesday night. The Highlanders will be looking to pick up a win today when they host a Radford team that lost to James River 21-1 last week. It will be Senior Night at GHS.
Last Thursday the Highlanders hosted Carroll County and dropped a 7-2 decision. Zella Hayes scored both Glenvar runs, one on a first inning home run and another after reaching on a single in the sixth and scoring on a Cavalier fielding error.
Hayden Hartz and Sidney Smyth also had hits for Glenvar while Jaycee Nunley went the distance on the mound, allowing seven hits.
