Hello Summer Festival: The Hello Summer Festival will be held Friday, June 5, from 6-10 p.m. at Green Hill Park. The free event will feature family activities, lawn games, live music by The Radio Sparks, food vendors and a patriotic drone show celebrating America’s 250th birthday. Food and beverages, including a cashless bar, will be available for purchase. Outside food and beverages will be permitted, but no outside alcohol will be allowed. For more information, visit .

Cub Scout Summer Day Camp: The Great Valley District of the Blue Ridge Mountains Council, Scouting America, will host a Cub Scout Summer Day Camp June 8-12 at Hope Tree Family Services, 931 Mt. Vernon Lane, Salem. The camp is open to youth entering first through fifth grade and will feature outdoor adventures, STEM activities, crafts, games, fishing, archery and nature programs. Tara Kelley serves as camp director.

The Dandelion Tour — Ella Langley will perform at the Salem Civic Center on Thursday, June 25, at 7 p.m., with special guests Dylan Marlowe and Gabriella Rose. Tickets range from $53.50 to $123.50 and go on sale Friday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at the Salem Civic Center box office, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and online at Ticketmaster; additional fees may apply to online purchases.

Happy Trails Film & TV Festival: The Happy Trails Film & TV Festival will return to the Roanoke Valley June 26-28 with events centered at Community Church and a special side program at Pink Cadillac Diner. The festival promotes faith-friendly productions and raises money for cancer research. Film and television stars will meet fans and present new projects during a weekend featuring films, music, workshops, panels and a banquet. Award-winning performer Don Richmond will present a special Elvis-style performance. The 2026 event marks the festival’s ninth year and traces its roots to the RoVaCon media events that began 50 years ago in Roanoke County.

Justin Moore: Justin Moore will return to the Salem Civic Center at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27. The multi-platinum country artist last performed in Salem in 2017 during his “Hell on a Highway” Tour with Dylan Scott. Known for hits including “This Is My Dirt,” “You, Me, and Whiskey,” “Small Town USA” and “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” Moore’s show tickets go on sale Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m. Prices start at $39.50. Tickets are available at the Salem Civic Center box office, open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and online through Ticketmaster.

Foreigner: The rock band Foreigner will return to the Salem Civic Center this fall as part of its 50th anniversary tour celebrating five decades of performances since the group’s first rehearsal in 1976. The concert is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 7:30 p.m. The band last performed in Salem in May 2023, playing a sold-out show featuring many of its best-known songs. Tickets may be purchased at the Salem Civic Center box office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday or online through Ticketmaster.
