The Botetourt Sports Complex will host the Roanoke Area Youth Baseball Association(RAYBA) all-star tournaments for youth all-star teams next week. Participating areas include host Botetourt, Salem, Glenvar, Vinton, North Roanoke and Franklin County.
Tournaments will be held for 10U and 12U all-star teams beginning Monday, June 15. In the 10U tournament Vinton and Salem will open play at 6 pm and the winner will face Botetourt at 8 pm. Glenvar and North Roanoke also play at 6 pm.
In the 12U Glenvar and Franklin County will play at 6 pm with Botetourt taking on the winner at 8 pm. North Roanoke and Salem also play at 6 pm with the winner taking on Vinton at 8 pm.
Both tournaments are double elimination. The 10U championship will be at 6 pm Wednesday, June 17, with an “if game” at 8 pm. The 12U championship is on Thursday of next week, also at 6 pm with an “if game” at 8 pm.
