The free event, presented by Salem Parks & Recreation, will feature five jazz acts performing throughout the afternoon and evening at the Longwood Park Amphitheater.

Music begins at 3 p.m. and continues until 9:45 p.m. The lineup was selected by local jazz enthusiast Lenny Marcus and includes performances by The Sway Katz, Flat Five Jazz, Copycat Syndrome, Root Down and the John D’Earth Quintet featuring Laura Ann Singh.

The schedule includes:

3 p.m. — The Sway Katz

4:15 p.m. — Flat Five Jazz

5:25 p.m. — Copycat Syndrome

6:45 p.m. — Root Down

8:15 p.m. — John D’Earth Quintet with Laura Ann Singh

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an afternoon and evening of live music in the outdoor venue. Admission is free.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Dale’s Diner, Empanada Nirvana, Star City Sips and The Tailgate food truck. Beer and wine also will be available on-site. Event organizers noted that outside alcohol and pets are not permitted.

Renewal by Andersen and Salem Parks & Recreation are sponsoring this year’s event.
