The Salem and Glenvar golf teams were scheduled to tee-it up Tuesday in the annual Botetourt Metro Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament was scheduled to include 18 teams at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club.
This year’s field was wide open. Floyd County was the team winner last year, followed by Auburn in second place and Blacksburg in third. This year’s field, in addition to host teams Lord Botetourt and James River, included Salem, Glenvar, Floyd, Blacksburg, William Byrd, Franklin County, Northside, Patrick Henry, Cave Spring, Hidden Valley, Auburn, Rockbridge, Abingdon, EC Glass, and Jefferson Forest.
