Auburn High School received a silver medal in the US News and World Report High School Rankings. The school is ranked 54th in the state, with a graduation rate of 90 percent and a college readiness score of 22.5.

Eastern Montgomery High School received a bronze medal in the same high school rankings, with a graduation rate of 82 percent.

The Best High Schools rankings identify the country’s top-performing high schools, with a goal of providing a clear, unbiased picture of how well the schools serve all of their students. US News and World Report uses a four step system to determine award status for high school. The students at the schools must perform better than expected in their state. Disadvantaged students must perform better than the state average. Graduate rates must meet or exceed a national standard. Lastly, students must be prepared for college-level coursework based on the organization’s College Readiness Index.
