Austin Frantz, son of Robert and Sherry Frantz, placed first in the Bland Music competition last Friday evening at United Methodist Church. Austin’s selection for the competition was Maple Leaf Rag composed by Scott Joplin. The next competition will be held at Central Methodist Church in Salem, Virginia, on April 15 at 2 p.m.
