Crowder and Zach Williams: Two of the biggest stars in Contemporary Christian Music are returning to Salem on Nov. 20. Crowder and Zach Williams are co-headlining a fall tour that also includes hitmaker Matt Maher. From “Chain Breaker” to “There was Jesus” with Dolly Parton, to “Little Less Like Me”, Williams has created an incredible following with his poignant lyrics and soulful arrangements. Crowder grew up in Texas and was a student at Baylor University when he realized music might help get more students to attend church at the Christian college. So, he formed a band and started drawing a crowd. He has never stopped filling seats. Crowder has been a staple in Contemporary Christian Music since 1996 when he was the leader of the David Crowder Band. In 2012, he embarked on a solo career, and the multi-instrumentalist and vocalist has never looked back. Four of Crowder’s five solo albums have hit number one on the charts, with the other compilation of songs landing at number two.
