51st Annual Spring Home Show: The show will be at the Salem Civic Center 2-6 p.m. Friday, March 24, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 25 and 12-5 p.m. Sunday, March 26. Tickets will be sold at the door.
Faith-Based Reparations: A Community Conversation: Roanoke College will host a symposium offered by the Roanoke Reparations Group (RGG). The RGG seeks to educate the Roanoke community about the theft of wealth, dignity and power from the Black community caused by systemic racism and white supremacy, and how the biblical rationale for faith-based reparations could help address this harm. The symposium begins Friday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the Colket Center with a keynote address, “Building Beloved Community,” by Rev. Dr. Michael Nabors.
Leila Hanafi: Human Rights, International Law, and Civil Society: Leila Hanafi will discuss women’s access to justice in post-conflict societies Tuesday, March 28 at 7 p.m. in the Colket Center at Roanoke College.
Blue Ridge Sports Car Club: The free event will be at the Salem Civic Center Sunday, April 2 at 11 a.m. More information can be found at www.brr.scca.org.
Easter Egg Hunt: An Easter egg hunt for children ages 3-10 will be held on the Salem Civic Center Field from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5. Hunts will be run approximately every 15 minutes with roughly 25 participants per hunt.
2023 Senior Fun & Health Fair Day: The event, which is open to the public and free, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 at the Salem Civic Center.
Salem Spring Holiday Market: The market will be at the Salem Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. Admission is free.
Roanoke Valley Sports Club: Roger Ayers: The event will be in the Community Room of the Salem Civic Center on Monday, April 17. Social time will be at 5:45 p.m. Dinner will be at 6:15 p.m., followed by the program at 7 p.m. The price of attendance is $22.50 for members, $28 for non-members and $10 for children ages 4-12.
