The Roanoke College men’s lacrosse team saw their season end with a loss to Gettysburg College in the first round of the NCAA Men’s Tournament. The Bullets defeated RC, 14-8, last Saturday at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA.
Gettysburg jumped to a 4-1 advantage and built their lead to 8-3 at the half. The Maroons played the Bullets even during the third period but still trailed, 10-5, heading into the fourth quarter. Roanoke trimmed the lead to four at the mid-way point but couldn’t get any closer as Roanoke fell, 14-8.
Luke Kammerman and George Gilbert combined for six of RC’s eight goals. Taylor Lewis recorded 13 saves in goal.
With the loss Roanoke finished the season at 13-7.
