The Botetourt Chamber of Commerce is gathering information on business and residential Internet service through an online survey that asks about broadband service.

The collected data will help county officials, service providers and others make informed decisions for future Internet access in the county, according to an announcement by the Chamber.

The public is invited to help by participating in the anonymous survey.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete. The questions are about which community the survey takers live in, the type of Internet service they have, how they use the Internet, satisfaction levels with the service, whether its used for business, how critical the service is to the home and/or business, and it asks for comments if any.

The survey can be accessed on the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce website at www.botetourtchamber.com.

If you have questions or need additional information, contact the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce by email at info@botetourtchamber.com or call 540-928-2017.
