Ira C. Deyerle, 78, of Salem, passed away on Monday, June 17. He was born on September 9, 1940, to the late Walter E. and Eva Rutherford Deyerle. Ira graduated from Andrew Lewis High School, class of 1958, and then attended the University of Virginia where he became a diehard Wahoo. He was a retired software engineer from G.E. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Deyerle; daughter, Eva Marie Deyerle; siblings, Walter E. Deyerle, Joyce Matchette, Faye Sechrist, and June Thomas Fisher. He is survived by his son, Russell Deyerle, wife, Stacy, and granddaughter Emily. Surviving sisters, LaVerne Deyerle, Sherrye May, and Patricia Turner, and special friend Linda Koogler.
