
Wolverines finished their soccer season 15-0-2, tying the school record for wins in a season.
The middle school sports seasons wrapped up last Thursday with Andrew Lewis teams taking on Ben Franklin and Glenvar meeting Read Mountain.
In baseball Lewis lost a close one to the Stars, 7-6, to end their season at 12-5. Glenvar finished at 3-11-1 as their last game was cancelled due to unplayable field conditions at Green Hill Park.
In softball Lewis lost to Franklin, 9-0, but finished with a winning record at 9-7-1. Glenvar fell to Read Mountain and finished 4-9-2.
The Lewis boys’ soccer team came from 2-0 behind to win 3-2 over the Eagles. Camden Burns scored two goals in the second half, including the game winner with under 30 seconds remaining in the game. The Wolverines finished 9-3-4.
Glenvar’s boys were 6-6-3 after losing to Read Mountain, 6-0.
In girls’ soccer Lewis beat Ben Franklin 7-0 to finish 15-0-2 on the season. The 15 wins tied a school record as the girls’ outscored their opponents 73-6 for the season.
Glenvar’s girls tied Read Mountain nil-nil and finished 9-5-1.
