ROANOKE— Feeding Southwest Virginia held its 2024 Agency Conference, themed “Many Voices, One Vision,” on Friday at Pilgrim Baptist Church, celebrating its Southwest Virginia agency partners. The annual event brought together 200 organizations that operate food distribution programs in partnership with Feeding Southwest Virginia, offering a chance to recognize their dedication, provide learning opportunities, and strengthen connections within the community.

The conference featured a keynote address by Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America, who joined to honor agency partners for their ongoing commitment to addressing hunger and supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity.

Held over two days, the conference brought together agency partners from across Feeding Southwest Virginia’s 26-county, nine-city service region. The event empowered partners to strengthen their operations and provided a space for networking and collaboration, aiming to build a united effort to better serve the food-insecure population in Southwest Virginia. The day prior, Feeding Southwest Virginia hosted over 100 agency partners from far Southwest Virginia in Lebanon.

Pamela Irvine, CEO and president of Feeding Southwest Virginia, was also on-hand for the event.
