The Glenvar girls won the Class 2A, Region C swim meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center on Saturday. Glenvar scored 132 points to blow second place Radford out of the water. The Bobcats had 79.

Glenvar won regional championships in six events, including two relay teams. The 200 medley team of Carly Griffith, Madilyn Wheeler, Reese Dunkenberger and Aislinn Kerr took first along with the 4×100 team of Abbie Thompson, Griffith, Wheeler and Reese Dunkenberger.

Individually, Dunkenberger took first place in both the 100 Backstroke and 100 Freestyle. Thompson won the 200 Free and was third in the 100 Back and Griffith won the 50 Free and took second in the 100 Back. Aislinn Kerr was third in the 50 Free.

The Highlanders will swim in the Group 2A state meet in Richmond today.
