GHS golfers finish 4th in regular season

The Glenvar golfers will be practicing hard for the Region 2C tournament, scheduled for Monday, September 27, at the Old Mill course. Glenvar wrapped up the Three Rivers District regular season tour on Monday at Hanging Rock.

Floyd County won Monday’s round at “The Rock” with a team score of 322, and the Buffaloes were the easy winners of the season tournament. James River tied Radford with a 335 on Monday to edge the Bobcats for second place in the season standings.

Glenvar finished fourth on Monday and fourth for the regular season, shooting a team score of 384 at Hanging Rock. Mason Hylton and Jacson Shepherd shot 92 each to lead the Highlanders while Aidan Hylton carded 93 and Jay Roberts had Glenvar’s fourth counting score at 107.

Last Thursday at Great Oaks in Floyd County Shepherd led the Highlanders with an 85, followed by Mason Hylton at 92. Aidan Hylton and Adam Harvey both shot 106 as Glenvar carded a team total 389. Floyd won the round at 315.
