The Glenvar Middle School football team played Floyd County to a tie in Floyd last week. The game ended in a 15-15 stalemate when it was stopped by lighning in the fourth quarter.
Zach Smith scored Glenvar’s first touchdown on a four yard run. Quarterback Kiptyn Jones found Noah Stevens in the back of the end zone for a TD pass and Glenvar’s second scored. Owen Paxton had seven tackle for the Highlanders.
Glenvar will host the Andrew Lewis seventh grade team today at Highlander Stadium beginning at 6 pm.
