Christopher “Bobby” Grubb 86 of Seminole FL passed away 8/27/25. He was born 7/11/39 in Salem VA. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Chris Grubb & Darrin Grubb; daughter, Cathy Smith; grandchildren, Devon Smith & wife Sierra; Madison Smith & wife Casey; great grandchildren, Emiline & Warren Smith; sisters-in-law, Janet Jackson & husband David; Sandy Holston & husband Steve & their family; Judy White & family; brother-in-law, Kenneth “Dicky” White & wife Ruby & their family.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Christopher R. Grubb Sr. & Sally Karnes Grubb; sister, Elizabeth Aldridge & husband, Chuck; Lula Wilson, who was like a mother; brothers-in-law, Lonnie White and Terry Jackson; and his beloved dogs, Ring, Casey & Bear.

Bob was a proud Alumni of Andrew Lewis HS, class of ’59. He played football and had his own basketball team, The Grubbers. He was a lifeguard at Queens swimming pool during the summers. Bob attended UVA Extension after graduation while working for the Department of Transportation as a Surveyor during construction of I81. When you notice a glitch on I81, Bob was responsible for that.

Bob lived in Salem until 1962, the year he & Nancy married & was employed by B&W Tobacco in Staunton VA. From Staunton, he was transferred to NC, GA, KY & his last move was to Seminole FL in 1979 where he retired after 30 years.

Bob was an avid Bucs fan, golfer, basketball player, bicyclist, walker, and loved working out. He was also pretty good with magic tricks…however, there were a few mishaps every now & then. Bob was also a Master Mason of Staunton Lodge No.13, Staunton, VA.

Bob dearly loved his family & friends.

He will always be missed and loved and will live in our hearts forever.
