The Glenvar track team competed in the East Coast Elite meet in Christiansburg last Saturday and had some strong performances.
Tyson Hobbs won both the high jump and the long jump while Joey Loder took first in the 110 meter hurdles. Colby Thompson won the 200 and anchored the winning 4×100 relay team that included Ranger Swanson, Hobbs and Tre Dawyot.
For the girls, Sophia Hammersley took first in the Triple Jump and second in both the 100 and 300 hurdles.
The Highlanders were at Franklin County Wednesday, and this Saturday they’re back in Christiansburg for the Blue Demon Invitational.
