The Glenvar soccer teams will take on Giles tonight in a Three Rivers District doubleheader in Pearisburg. The boys will open the doubleheader at 5:30 pm with the girls to follow.

Glenvar’s girls are 5-4-1 after downing Alleghany at home last week, 4-1. Jesse Lucas scored two goals and Kira Pierce and Jenna Hux had one each to lead the Highlanders.

The boys also played Alleghany and battled to a 3-3 tie. Peyton Taliaferro, Cameron Shepherd and Nathan Booth scored the goals for Glenvar.

The Highlanders were scheduled to play at Floyd on Monday but both matches were postponed due to the weather.
