Hogs help the contest winner

Is Lukous Schultz is high on the hogs? If he isn’t he should be.

Arkansas upset Texas last weekend and that was the difference as Schultz won our football contest with just three misses. It was a week of upsets and nearly everyone had Ohio State over Oregon and Texas over Arkansas, and many of you also had Lord Botetourt defeating Class 1 Riverheads. Schultz picked the Buckeyes but he got the Arkansas and Riverheads games correct. His other two losses were VMI over Kent State and Appomattox over Heritage, but no one else had as few as three so Schultz is our winner.

For his efforts Lukous will receive the $50 gift certificate from Mac & Bob’s as well as a large blizzard from Dairy Queen. Schultz is a big Dolphins fan and the fins capped his win with a one point victory over New England on Sunday.

For last week’s “Quick Change” question I asked you to predict which NFL team would score the most points during the first week of the season. The correct response would be the 49ers with 41 points against the Lions and Wayne “Pickle” Dillman was our winner. He picked the Niners and 48, so he gets the free oil change from Valvoline in Salem.

For this week’s Quick Change question give me your prediction on the Virginia Tech vs. West Virginia game this Saturday. Put your answer, including the final score, in the space provided and the closest to the actual score will get a free oil change.
