On Saturday, August 7, Judy Anne Taylor, beloved wife, mother, Mimi, and daughter passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Judy loved her Savior Jesus and in Him she found peace and comfort.

Judy was born December 19, 1962, in Roanoke. She married the love of her life, Mark, September 25, 1981, and together they created a beautiful life full of love and happiness. Her greatest joy was found in her children and grandchildren. Judy loved her West Salem Baptist Church family and so delighted in time spent with her Bible study group ladies. She loved spending time with her toes in the sand at her favorite place in the world – OBX – and creating countless memories with her family there.

Judy is survived by her husband, Mark Taylor; daughter, Kelsey Sloan and husband, Jared; son, Nick Taylor and wife Bridget; grandchildren, Anne and Jack Sloan; her mother, Margaret Ratcliff; sister, Cindy Rider; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, August 14, at the West Salem Baptist Church, 500 Turner Road, Salem, VA 24153, where a funeral service to celebrate her life will begin promptly at 12 p.m., with Pastor Nick Shaffer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Judy.

Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.johnmoakey.com.
