Notice is hereby given to all interested persons that the Board of Appeals (Building) of the City of Salem,
Virginia will hold a public hearing, in accordance with the provisions of Section 18-38 Code of City of
Salem, Virginia, on September 21, 2023, at 4:00pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 114 North Broad Street, in the City of Salem, Virginia. The purpose of the meeting and hearing shall be to
determine if a certain structure is dangerous to the inhabitants of the City and whether such structures
should be ordered to be repaired or demolished. The structures are located as follows:
(1) A dilapidated structure located at 702 Front Avenue, Salem, Virginia (Tax Map # 201
– 10 – 2); and
(2) Dilapidated structures located at 2500 West Main Street, Salem, Virginia (Tax Map #175-2-3).
All parties in interest at the public hearings will be given an opportunity to be heard, present evidence, and show cause why action by the City and Board to remedy a potentially dangerous situation should or should not be granted. For additional information, contact the
