I wanted to send a public thank you to our Salem Electrical Department for fixing our electrical wires last week. We noticed flickering of our power and since it was 8:00 p.m., I sent a non-emergency request on their website, thinking that they would see it first thing in the morning. Fifteen minutes later, a crew showed up at our house to check it out. They found not one but two places where our wires had been damaged by branches and squirrels. They quickly found the problems and replaced wires before it was even bedtime! We were so impressed and thankful that they were able to prevent an inconvenient and probably dangerous situation for us. It’s easy to complain when service is bad, but it’s a joy to share when it is super.
