Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

More often than not, I try to do something nice to offset some bad things I’ve done. This past week was one of those times. I contacted the Pizza Den in Salem and ordered a steak sub for my parents for lunch. They were to pick it up. I placed the order, paid for it and gave the employee a generous tip. You see, I live in New Castle and my parents are in Salem. I can’t take them to lunch so… next best thing, right? When my 85-year-old dad went to pick up the sub he was told, “ohh, we don’t make subs anymore.” I received a call from my mom saying dad wasn’t able to get the sub. Imagine my embarrassment. I contacted Pizza Den and was told they stopped making subs due to the cost. And that their employees were aware. Obviously not ALL of the employees. I’m going to be in touch with the manager of the establishment as soon as possible. This story will be continued.
