The Andrew Lewis track teams closed out their season Saturday at the East Coast Elite meet at Christiansburg High School. The boys won the team title and the girls were third.
The boys’ team completed a perfect season by taking home “GOAT” trophy. Top scorer Zyere Richardson led the way by winning the 300 meter hurdles, while teammate Jayden White won the 400 meter dash and the long jump. The 400 meter relay team of Richardson, White, Liam Park, and Josh Elliott also won gold.
The girls team was led by Madelyn Eversole who remained undefeated in the 1600 meters and also won the 800 meters. Zayah Woody won the 100 meter dash while Woody, Brynn Clewis, Liv Lam and Carma Mitchen teamed up to win the 400 meter relay. Eversole and Clewis, joined Alice Carr and Joh’anna Nugent to win the 1600 meter relay.
