The Andrew Lewis track teams defeated Blacksburg, Dublin, and, Pulaski Middle Schools last Thursday at Salem High.
The girls were led by top scorer My’La Green, who won the Triple jump and placed in three other events. Kaitlyn Crumpacker and Neelah Logan were double winners, Kaitlyn in the 1600 & 800 meter runs while Neelah took the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Kaitlyn Creger won the High Jump for the second week in a row. The 3200 meter relay team of Mary Robinson, Elena Sable, Katie Johnson, and Kyra Netting were winners, as were the 1600 meter relay team of Crumpacker, Emily Johnson, Mariah Gahl and Kenley Coleman . The 400 meter relay team of Green, Creger, Logan and Zoe Robtison remain undefeated on the year .
The boys were led by top scorer Jaimen Lingenfelter, who placed in five events. George Copeland won the Discus, Nash Lakin won the 400 meter dash and Tommy Henzey won the 800 meter run.
The 3200 meter relay team of Calvin Foster, Jonathan Shenal, Collen Scaggs, and Graham Roudebush were winners, while the 400 meter relay team of Lingenfelter, Lakin, Boone Fleenor, and Braydon Taylor also claimed victory. The 1600 meter relay team of Lakin, Fleenor, Taylor and Henzey picked up their second win in a row.
The teams will wrap up their season this Thursday at the 53rd annual Cosmopolitan Track and Field meet at William Fleming High School.
