The Cregger Center in Salem was the site for the two-day volleyball Maroon Classic and the host Roanoke College team won three of four.

Roanoke opened play Friday with a 3-1 win over Methodist University. Emma Catoe had 10 kills for the Maroons and Raygan Wade dished out 30 assists.

Later that evening the Maroons took on North Carolina Wesleyan and won three sets to two, including a 15-11 decision in the deciding fifth set. Catoe had 24 kills in this one and Teagan Hubble had 24 digs.

On Saturday morning Roanoke hosted Brevard and won in three straight. Wade had 21 assists and Sidney Alumbaugh had 10 digs. Later on Saturday Salem College denied the Maroons a weekend sweep with a 3-0 win.

With the results RC evened the season record at 4-4, but the Maroons lost at Meredith in three sets Tuesday to go back under .500 at 4-5. The women were scheduled to return home Wednesday for a match with W&L.
