The Salvation Army is hosting a Mother/Daughter Tea at the Vinton War Memorial on May 6. The event will benefit the Turning Point domestic violence shelter. The tea begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m.

The Disney characters Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” will be featured and will be available for photographs. LuLaRoe consultants will also be set up to purchase mother/daughter outfits.

There will be crafts for the children, including making Mother’s Day cards. Gift bags will be available for all mothers and grandmothers.

Tickets are $30 for two and $15 for additional tickets.
