On Monday, the 14th day of February, 2022, the Council of the City of Salem, Virginia, will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of general obligation public improvement bonds of the City in an estimated maximum principal amount of $2,350,000 for the purposes of financing the City’s share of the costs to renovate the existing anaerobic digestion facilities at the Western Virginia Water Authority Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant, together with related expenses, and paying the associated financing and issuance costs. Such bonds will be secured by a pledge of the full faith and credit and taxing power of the City.
The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be conducted during the regular meeting of the City Council which is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. at Community Room, Salem Civic Center, 1001 Roanoke Boulevard, Salem, Virginia 24153. Interested persons may appear at such time and place and present their views.
