Pursuant to Section 22.1-29.1 of the Code of Virginia, as amended to date, notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salem will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m., May 28, 2024, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia, to
receive views of citizens within the Salem School District regarding an appointment to fill the
unexpired term ending 12/31/2026 of one member on the City of Salem School Board.
All candidates seeking appointment must submit a letter of interest and résumé to the Deputy Clerk of Council. Submissions are requested prior to noon on Friday, May 24, 2024, however, in all cases must be submitted prior to the closing of the public hearing.
