Upcoming adult events at the Salem Library

Tuesday, October 14, 6:30pm: True Crime Book Club Killer Clown: The John Wayne Gacy Murders by Terry Sullivan.

Thursday, October 16, 2-3pm, Age 18+: Marble Painting Triptych for Adults.  Use marbles, paint markers, and your imagination to create 3 panel abstract art.   Register at salemva.libcal.com or call the Salem Library at 540-375-3089.   Space is limited so you must cancel your reservation if you find you are unable to attend.

Tuesday, October 21, 10am-12:30; 1:30-4pm: DMV Connect at the Salem Library.  Walk-ins only.

Wednesday, October 22, 7pm.  Same Page Book Club: An LGBTQ+ book club for adults.   This month’s selection: Reader’s Choice of any Cat Sebastian book.

Thursday, October 23, 2pm, or Wednesday, October 29, 2pm.  Art for Adults—Shaving Cream Art.  Bring your own pre-washed t-shirt or cloth tote bag and we’ll supply the shaving cream, fabric paint, and stencils so you can create a one-of-a-kind mandala design.  Choose one session to attend.  Register at salemva.libcal.com or call 540-375-3089.  Space is limited so you must cancel your reservation if you find you are unable to attend.

Thursday, October 23, 6:30pm.  End of the World Book Club (Horror/Sci-Fi).   Theme for the month: Read Your Phobia.  Choose a book to read and come prepared to share.

Monday, October 27, 1:30pm-6pm.  Red Cross Blood Drive at Salem Library.  Make an appt. at www.redcrossblood.org

Saturday, October 11, 2:30pm, All ages.  Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus: The Musical.  Join us under a tent on the Library Lawn.  Presented by Mill Mountain Theater.  Bring a blanket to sit on!

Tuesday, October 14, 3:30pm, Grades 2-5.  Whimsical Painting!  Explore Spanish artist Joan Miros mischievous style to create your own artwork.  Grades 2-5.  Register at salemva.libcal.com

Tuesday, October 28, Grades 2-3. 3:30pm: Book Buzz Book Club.  Pizza and Taco Dare to be Scared! by Stephen Shaskan.  Register at salemva.libcal.com
