Candice Amber Manning, daughter of Salem natives Cindy S. Manning and the late Donald L. Manning, is engaged to be married to Edward Michael Quinn of Portland, Oregon.

Edward is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Quinn of Boston, Massachusetts, and currently resides in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Candice is a graduate of Salem High School, James Madison University and East Carolina University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders and Doctorates of Audiology and Philosophy. She is a Research Investigator at the National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research at the VA Portland Health Care System and an Assistant Professor at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.

Edward is a graduate of Jesuit High School and Portland State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing and special certificate in Athletic and Outdoor Industry. He is a Financial Operations Specialist at an energy consultant company, CLEAResult, in Portland, Oregon.

An October wedding is planned.
