More than 1,000 cyclists participating in Bike Virginia rode through the county Sunday and stopped at the Buchanan Town Park to enjoy a meal of black beans and rice as well as snacks (above).  About 300 of the bicyclists took the longest route and went through Fincastle where Historic Fincastle Inc. (HFI) hosted a refreshment station. At right, HFI member Lyn Burton  shares the history of the Town of Fincastle with some of the Bike Virginia cyclists. Below, Buchanan Town Improvement Society members provided the food for the Buchanan stop. From left are (front) Kay Wirt, Shelly Smith, Allison Smith; back, Angie Bryan, Bernadette Dawson, Stephanie Falls, Maryanne Meloy and Leisha Cook. Not in pictured, Brenda Elliot, Lori Wagoner and Becky Lennox.
