A 0.93-acre property at 816 W. Main St. has been sold and is slated for redevelopment as a Panda Express restaurant, according to an announcement from Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer last month.

CFT Developments purchased the site from Driven Brands Inc. for $1.5 million. The buyer plans to redevelop the property for the restaurant, with completion scheduled for early summer 2026.

Connie Jordan Nielsen and Alicia Brown of Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer handled sale negotiations on behalf of Panda Express, the company said.

The site is located along the West Main Street commercial corridor, one of Salem’s primary retail and dining areas.

“We’re pleased to see continued interest from nationally recognized brands choosing to invest in our community. Projects like this help reinforce the West Main corridor as a vibrant destination for residents and visitors alike,” Tommy Miller, Salem’s director of economic development.
