A new grassroots organization has launched in Salem with the goal of supporting families and strengthening communication around local education issues.

Parent Advocates for Salem Kids, or PASK, has been formed to advocate for Salem families and students and to create a space where parents can openly discuss concerns related to family values, rights and educational needs within Salem City Public Schools.

According to organizers, the group aims to empower parents through shared information, updates and respectful conversations. Its mission includes offering mutual support in a judgment-free setting while developing a unified voice to ensure children receive a quality education. The organization also emphasizes the importance of understanding and upholding families’ rights under local laws.

PASK is inviting Salem parents and community members to join. Those interested may email parentadvocatesforsalemkids@gmail.com for more information.
