 The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between July 4-10. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.

Those arrested and their charges were listed as:

July 4 – Jason L. Kegley, 46, domestic assault and battery; Tammy L. Jackson, 42, assault on a police officer, public intoxication; Hugh A. Kiser, 51, interdicted person; Joseph W. Pierce, 35, shoplifting; Allan W. Wright Jr., 20, illegal possession of alcohol, shoplifting

July 6 – Alejandro T. May, burglary, 3 charges of grand larceny, petit larceny; Joseph A. Baldwin, 30, failure to appear; Heather N. Wiley, 20, shoplifting; Darryl W. Beale, 51, shoplifting; Micah A. Christian, 23, possession of a controlled substance; Melissa D. Scott, 31, 2 charges of contempt of court; Joe K. Shepherd II, 22, possession of marijuana; Coles C. Terry II, 23, possession of marijuana

July 7 – Desmond A. Nolen, 21, urinating in public; Rickey L. Hughes, 62, public intoxication; Brenda A. Jodoin, 52, public intoxication; Daryl L. Harris, 47, public intoxication

July 8 – Melissa H. Dillon, 48, failure to appear; Jason A. DeCicco, 34, assault and battery, violation of a protective order; Dwayne M. Puckett, 51, assault and battery; Hold A. Coleman III, 26, assault and battery; John W. Silverman Jr., 41, contributing to the delinquency of a minor; Michael T. Russell, 61, assault and battery; Bradley S. Vickers, 19, 4 charges of abduction; Gary G. Gibson, 52, contempt of court

July 9 – Melissa K. Paisley, 38, public intoxication; Harold E. Harrison Jr., 41, possession of marijuana; Jesus N. Santiago, 37, driving under the influence; Howard S. Lawrence, 60, public intoxication

July 10 – Edward Q. Norfleet, 48, public intoxication; Edward R. Gray, 56, public intoxication

 

Also reported were the following felonies:

July 4 – Grand larceny, 600 block of Turner road; domestic assault and battery, 2000 block of Burma Road; assault on a police officer, 0 block of Wortham Street

July 5 – Obtaining money by false pretense, 800 block of W. Main Street; burglary, 800 block of Kesler Mill Road; property damage, 800 block of Kesler Mill Road

July 6 – Illegal use of credit cards, 1900 block of Electric Road; grand larceny, 1800 block of Burma Road

July 7 – Illegal use of credit cards, 1700 block of E. Main Street; aggravated assault, 500 block of Hawthorne Road; uttering, 1800 block of W. Main Street

July 8 – Driving under the influence, 700 block of Apperson Drive; grand larceny, 1700 block of Apperson Drive

July 9 – Grand larceny, 100 block of Electric Road

July 10 – Grand larceny, 400 block of S. Market Street; grand larceny, 100 block of Bogey Lane; grand larceny, 1000 block of W. Riverside Drive
