The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between April 25-May 1. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.

Those arrested and their charges were listed as:

April 25 – Nathaniel R. Dixon, 20, grand larceny; Ronnie L. Blizzard Jr. 47, public intoxication

April 26 – Christopher L. Whorley, 41, driving under the influence, driving suspended, unreasonable refusal; Christopher J. Balog, 24, domestic assault and battery; Thomas P. Aldrich, 32, shoplifting; Stephanie D. Aldrich, 34, shoplifting

April 27 – Emily K. Weddle, 31, contempt of court

April 28 – John L. Travers, 21, public intoxication; Eric L. Fleshman Jr., 45, domestic assault and battery; Ricky W. Slone, 60, driving under the influence

April 29 – Kenneth L. Brickey, 65, driving under the influence; Cara F. Hite, 26, possession of marijuana; Daryl L. Harris, 47, domestic assault and battery, assault and battery; Ryan O. Cheatwood, 24, possession of marijuana

April 30 – Anne Craighead, 59, driving under the influence; Antonio R. Johnson, 22, domestic assault and battery; Samuel M. Derbyshire, 19, possession of marijuana; Jesse C. Rowland, 36, public intoxication; David N. Griffith, 31, public intoxication

May 1 – Corey C. Epps, 39, threats to kill, robbery, animal cruelty, possession of alcohol after being interdicted

Also reported were the following felonies:

April 25 – Shoplifting, 1800 block of W. Main Street; grand larceny, 1800 block of W. Main Street

April 26 – Embezzlement, 100 block of Sheraton Drive

April 27 – Grand larceny, 1800 block of Apperson Drive

April 29 – Grand larceny, 100 block of Otter Drive; grand larceny, 300 block of Roanoke Boulevard

April 30 – Grand larceny, 600 block of Yorkshire Street

May 1 – Threats to kill, robbery, animal cruelty, 1800 block of Apperson Drive
