The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged between December 20-26. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of juveniles under the age of 18.

Those arrested and their charges were listed as:

December 20 – David E. Heare, 33, failure to appear; Ryan G. Lineberry, 34, assault and battery; Brandon A. Spaulding, 28, failure to appear; Justin T. Yancey-McFall, 21, failure to appear

December 21 – Kesa C. Smith, 49, shoplifting; Sherman D. Williams Sr., 61, assault and battery; Donna E. Tingler, 51, assault and battery; Dana K. Shrewsbury, 45, grand larceny

December 22 – Shaniece D. King, 28, failure to appear; Inocencio S. Hernandez, 40, assault and battery; Jennifer L. Rhoton, 32, failure to appear

December 23 – William J. Spence, 28, forgery, uttering, obtaining goods by false pretense; Maryah L. Collins, 19, petit larceny; Robert A. Hein, 50, shoplifting; Lynsey M. Taylor, 32, two charges of shoplifting; Daniel W. Tunstall, 37, providing false name to police; Jessica N. Westmoreland, domestic assault and battery

December 24 – James P. Burton, 39, grand larceny, property damage; Samantha A. Casto, 32, shoplifting; Bonnie S. King, 61, shoplifting; Melissa K. Woolwine, 38, public intoxication; Ronnie W. Henry, driving under the influence, unreasonable refusal; Michael D. Wertz, 27, domestic assault and battery

December 25 – Synetha K. Warren, 26, malicious wounding; Steven M. Woeber, 26, driving under the influence, distribution of marijuana; Douglas T. Jordon, 46, contempt of court; Josiah R. Branham, 26, public intoxication

December 26 – Jesse B. Coburn, 33, providing false name to police

 

Also reported were the following felonies:

December 20 – Possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon, 600 block of E. Main Street; grand larceny, 1700 block of E. Main Street; illegal use of a credit card, obtaining goods by false pretense, 1800 block of W. Main Street

December 21 – Shoplifting, 1400 block of W. Main Street; grand larceny, 1900 block of Electric Road

December 22 – Grand larceny, 1100 block of Florida Street; grand larceny, 800 block of Polar Lane

December 23 – Forgery, uttering, obtaining goods by false pretense, 100 block of Electric Road; shoplifting, 800 block of W. Main street; possession of a controlled substance, 400 block of E. Main Street; possession of a controlled substance, 1700 block of W. Main Street

December 24 – Possession of a controlled substance, 100 block of Electric Road

December 26 – Vehicle theft, 2000 block of Apperson Drive
