Boles is RRD Player of the Year

The All-District and All-Region boys’ basketball teams were recently announced and Salem and Glenvar were well represented.
Salem senior Cam Boles was a first team All-Region selection in Region 4D and the Player of the Year in the River Ridge District. Cam averaged 16.4 points per game along with seven rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game.
Salem junior Tanner Overstreet and senior Elijah Paddyfote were both Honorable Mention all-region. Overstreet is a first team All-RRD selection and Paddyfote is on the all-district second team.
For Glenvar, sophomore Parker Doolan and junior Jax Bolling were both second team All-Region 2C and first team All-Three Rivers District for the Highlanders.
Parker averaged 17.1 points per game in his first year on the varsity and also dished out 3.3 assists per game to go with 2.7 steals.
Bolling averaged 16.2 ppg, 4.1 rebounds per game, 3.5 apg and 2.2 steals.
Rider is RRD Player of the Year, Jester is top coach in Region 4D

They say to the victors go the spoils, and the Salem High girls won a lot of games this season. So, it goes to reason they’ve reaped a lot of honors when it comes to the post-season All-River Ridge District and All-Region 4D awards.
Salem seniors Bailey Rider, Gabby Crawley and Emme Custer were all named to the Region 4D first team and Spartan coach Scott Jester was named the region Coach of the Year. Reagan Edsell of John Handley High is the Region 4D Player of the Year.
Rider was named River Ridge District Player of the Year as the top vote getter among the district coaches. Bailey averaged 12.6 points per game to go with 5.1 rebounds per game, 4.2 steals per game and 3.9 assists per game.
Crawley and Custer were also named to the All-RRD first team. Gabby averaged 12.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.3 apg and 3.5 steals. Custer was Salem’s top scorer and rebounder at 14 points and 6.1 boards per game while averaging 2.1 assists and two steals.
Salem junior Kourtney Goens, the only underclassmen who started for the state runner-up Spartans, was also named to the all-district first team and Jester is the River Ridge District Coach of the Year.
The all-state teams have yet to be announced.
